School Syllabus about to be revised.
The Ministry of Education came across a decision to introduce a new school syllabus that is expected to meet the international level and fit the Sri Lankan education environment.
On Wednesday (19th of August 2020), Education Ministry Secretary, Prof. K.K.C.K Perera said “The program will be applied according to the instructions of Subject Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris.”
Following that, Secretary of Education mentioned that the syllabus will be revised from Grade 1 to Grade 13 and the upcoming syllabus is getting prepared to fit into Sri Lanka’s economic pattern, vacancy field, and many other sectors.
Further, he stated, regarding this program, the recommendation of experts in the education sector, students, businessmen, and those from the technical field will be considered.
Education Ministry announced that the new syllabus for school students will be implemented from next year (2021).
