The Ministry of Education has announced that the process of recruiting 3,772 teacher trainees from the National Colleges of Education will begin in the next two weeks.
Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Education BKS Subodhika stated that steps have been taken to send appointment letters to those who will be included in the teaching service to their homes.
He said appointment letters would be sent to those who have completed diploma courses in National college of Education before the commencement of school education activities on the upcoming 11th of January 2021.
Of the teachers who will be given new appointments, 1000 will be assigned to national schools and all others will be appointed to provincial schools.
Teacher appointments will be made on the basis of the marks obtained in the Teacher Training Colleges and the final year examination.
