Yesterday , on 17th of August 2020 Sri Lanka faced an island-wide power failure due to transmission failure at Kerawalapitiya Grid-Sub station.
Yet, there is a rumor roaming around that a transformer had blasted during a maintenance and no causalities has been reported so far. However, Ceylon Electricity Board stated that they have taken necessary actions to handle the situation.
So, the General Chairman of CEB Vijitha Herath announced that there is a power schedule will be implemented from today on wards until further notice of the recent failure has been neutralized.
Reportedly, the country has been divided into four zones and the power will be cut off in one by one with the time period of 1 Hour.
Each zone will expected to have power cuts sri lanka in one of the time schedule and we don’t know which time for which zone.
Ceylon Electricity Board Power Cut Schedule
from 6 pm until 7 pm,
from 7 pm until 8 pm,
from 8 pm until 9 pm, and
from 9 pm until 10 pm.
Once again, this time schedule of power cut will be implemented until the CEB power cuts are restored from recent power failure.
