Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has announced plans to launch New 20 Television channels for the Education service on the Sri Lanka Rupavahini television service.
Under the scheme, which will be jointly implemented by the Ministry of Mass Media and the Ministry of Education,
- 13 channels for grades 1 to 13.
- two separate channels for private education will be launched initially.
This was stated by Minister Keheliya Rambukwella at a ceremony held at the Kundasale Divisional Secretariat July 11th 2021 to provide scholarships to Samurdhi children.
